Frequently Asked Questions (Start here but please contact us if you have additional questions) Q. Can anyone try karting?A. Yes, all ages, genders, and skill levels are welcome.
Q. How old do I need to be to try karting with AKL?A. Drivers as young as 4 years old take part in karting.
Q. What do I need to bring to my track day?A. Please bring your own helmet. AKL provides everything else.
Q. What if I'm under 18 years old, can I attend your track days?A. Anyone can be an AKL member but you must be 18 or with an adult to participate in a track day.
Q. Do I need to sign a waiver before attending a track day?A. Yes, all participants in our AKL track days must sign a safety waiver.
Q. What happens if I damage the kart during my rental?A. All track day participants will need to provide a $200 safety deposit on a Credit Card. If no damage is done to the rental karts the full amount will be returned to the card.
Q. How much track time will I get during your 3-hour sessions?A. Each driver will get multiple laps and sessions per event. Actual track time will depend on the driver's ability and endurance. Yes, you will be sore after your first time karting.
Q. What if I need to cancel a booked event night?All cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance. Cancellations within the 7-day window will not be eligible for a refund. Q. How many drivers can come out to an event rental arrive and drive night? A. AKL can safely host up to 10 drivers per event night. Q. Can AKL help me buy a kart if I decide to order one? A. Yes, AKL is a dealer for many of the most popular brands currently on the market. Contact us to place your karting orders. Q. Does AKL service karts and provide parts as needed? A. Yes, AKL provides all types of services from cleaning to full builds. AKL also sells parts such as tires, safety gear, and other consumables. Q.
